Dr Mudrika Khandelwal is an Associate Professor in the Department of Materials Science and Metallurgical Engineering, at IIT Hyderabad. She is PhD from the University of Cambridge, UK (2013) and MTech, BTech, Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay (2009). Established in 2013, her research group has aimed to find solutions to some of the technologically and scientifically challenging societal concerns through materials intervention, with a special emphasis on sustainability. The interdisciplinary work carried out by her group is enabled by knowledge of multiple disciplines, materials at different length scales (nano, micro) and inspirations from nature. Dr Shiva Ji is a practicing Architect, and Assistant Professor in the Department of Design and he is an adjunct faculty in Department of Climate Change, & Department of Heritage Science and Technology at IIT Hyderabad, India. He is part of the Rural Development Center also. He has attained B.Arch, M.Des, MBA and PhD in Sustainability Assessment Methods in Built Environments from IIT Guwahati, India. He has over 13 years of cumulative experience in industry and academics. He has accomplished several projects in the field and has over 39 designs launched in the market. His research areas include design for environmental studies, sustainability, sustainability assessment, virtual & augmented reality, architectural heritage reconstruction using technology. He is involved with many research projects using state of the art technology in domains of architecture and design. A Post-Graduate in Engineering & Management with more than a decade of experience in data & relationship management. Agile administrator & communicator with the leading academic institution of India, India Institute of Technology (IIT), Hyderabad, along with its Mentee Institute IIIT Raichur, Karnataka. Mitalee publishes a quarterly publication, “KirIITH”, for IIT Hyderabad, which is well received in the peer group. In the past, she has led Techno-Commercial Operations of a USA-based multinational Packing Company. Hands-on experience in Marketing Strategies, Government Rules & Regulations, and Senior Management workstyle & plays an important role in Technical, Commercial and Administrative decision-making. She has received various district & state-level awards during her schooling and was the recipient of Star Employee & Star Team & Best Employee in her previous organization. She was adorned by AMEYA Awards as a women motivator by PRCI in 2020 & Chanakya Award for Social Media Person of the Year at the 15th Global Communication Conclave by PRCI in 2021.
